An end of year group exhibition featuring over 60 local artists, all creating work related to a ‘summer’ or ‘water’ theme. The exhibition was done in association with I Am Water, an ocean conservation trust, which received a portion of all artworks sold.

A group exhibition featuring more than 40 different artists, all creating work related to a ‘green’ theme. The exhibition was done in association with GreenPop - for each artwork sold, a tree was planted.

Handbound: a collection of illustrated bookwords at the Sasol Art Museum, Stellenbosch, 2011
A group exhibition, curated by Keith Dietrich and Ulrich Wolff, showcasing a collection of handcrafted books, that have been illustrated, designed and bound by the Postgraduate Visual Arts (Illustration) students from Stellenbosch University. The books range from picture books to children’s books to more conceptual artist books, blurring the boundaries between bookmaking and sculpture, and celebrating the tactility of these narrative paperworks.

Charity Ball (exhibition and auction) at the Freeworld Design Centre, Cape Town, 2011
An exhibition and auction of soccer balls, designed by 44 artists and designers. The soccer balls were auctioned in aid of the Rock Girl Safe Spaces campaign and over R86 000 was raised.

First Editions: an exhibition of visual narratives at Salon91, Cape Town, 2011
A group exhibition featuring the first editions of the hand-bound illustrated books (as well as the prints and process work related to these books) of 12 second-year Mphil in Visual Art (Illustration) students from Stellenbosch University: Kirsten Beets, Katrin Coetzer, Daneille Jacobs, Carla Kreuser, Pienette Laubser, Maria Lebedeva, Adrie le Roux, Marli Lyon, Elizabeth Stofberg, Lucy Stuart-Clark, Carla Visser and Tamlyn Young.

at the University of Pretoria, which featured the work of 50 alumni and formed part of the University’s

The Design Indaba 8 “Lifecycle of litter” poster featured in the Communication Arts Design Annual (November 2005).
It was also added to the United Nations Environment Programme’s Creative Gallery on Sustainability Communications and to the Coloribus database.

One Show merit awards were awarded to both the Design Indaba 10 “Inspiration” Programme
and the Design Indaba 10 “Ideas” Campaign

The Design Indaba 11 campaign won:
1 silver Loerie in the ‘design mixed-media campaign’ category
1 silver Loerie in the ‘integrated campaign’ category

On the judging panel of Antalis Art of Design 2008.


2007

The Design Indaba 10 campaign won:
the grand prix Loerie in the ‘integrated campaign’ category
1 silver Loerie for the “Brainstorm” Poster
1 silver Loerie in the ‘design mixed-media campaign’ category
1 bronze Loerie for Design Indaba 10 TV ads
1 bronze Loerie for the “Inspiration” Programme
1 bronze Loerie for the “Concept Sculpture” Brochure

The “Brainstorm” poster was also nominated as a Cannes Lions finalist,
received a One Show merit award and was added to the Coloribus database.

The Willards Kettle Chips range of packaging won a bronze Loerie
